An apparatus and a method for generating a time division multi-carrier beacon signal are provided to perform beacon functions corresponding to a plurality of FA sectors simultaneously for smooth operation among a plurality of base stations. An apparatus for generating a time division multi-carrier beacon signal comprises a time divisional controlling portion(330), a plurality of digital-to-analog converters(340f,340s), a plurality of frequency converters(350f,350s) and a signal amplifier(380). The time divisional controlling portion(330) time-divides a digital communication processing data, which is processed in a baseband based on preset beacon control information, into a plurality of FA sector signals through clock synchronization of a digital clock with an analog clock and signal interpolation for performing a FA sector beacon function. The digital-to-analog converters convert the time-divided digital communication data for the FA sector beacons to analog signals, respectively, according to clock information from the time divisional controlling portion. The frequency converters convert the analog signals for the FA sector beacons into radio frequency(RF) signals, respectively. The signal amplifier amplifies the RF signals for the sector beacons with a traffic RF signal and outputs the amplified signals so that the amplified signals fit with each of the sectors. The signal amplifier also amplifies the RF signals for the frequency beacons and output signals of frequencies desired by a system.
