ROOM CONTROL SYSTEM HAVING LIGHTING CONTROL FUNCTION USING POWER LINE COMMUNICATION

A room control system having a light control function using a power line communication is provided to embed a light control function in a room control system, arrange the room control system in a position of a light switch and control a light by operating the room control system through the power line communication. A room control system having a light control function using a power line communication, where the room control system controls a plurality of devices such as a boiler and home automation devices, comprises a switch manipulating portion(11), a microcomputer(13), a light controlling portion(14), a plurality of communicating portions(15,16,17), a plurality of indicating portion(20,21,22) and a power source(23). The switch manipulating portion(11) comprises a plurality of switches for controlling the devices and a light switch. The microcomputer controls operations of each of the portions according to a plurality of switch manipulation signals output from the switch manipulating portion. The light controlling portion controls "on/off" and brightness of a light under a control of the microcomputer. The communicating portions perform power line communication with the devices, transmit and receive data for controlling the devices and obtaining operation states of the devices. The indicating devices indicate the operation states of the devices. Power lines deliver power, having delivered to the light switch, to each of the portions and expose no additional wire.
