FIELD: rolled stock production, namely processes for restoring rolls. ^ SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of removing band from arbor of restored rolling roll; regrinding arbor and fitting band onto it; after regrinding, working surface of arbor in several passes by means of rotating metallic brush; reversing rotation sign of brush at each next pass; at working arbor surface by means of brush, applying additional layer of aluminum or brass onto it. ^ EFFECT: enhanced operational reliability of restored built-up rolling roll due to elimination of its micro-cracking. ^ 2 cl
