PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roadside signal light which more clearly displays a warning when a traffic jam occurs or an oncoming vehicle approaches on a blind road and is easy to be installed and also provide a roadside signal light system. SOLUTION: The roadside display light is composed of a display part using a light emitting diode, a wireless receiver which receives a control signal and a power source part using a solar cell and a secondary battery. Wiring is not required. A transmission part senses a traffic jam and the approach of an oncoming vehicle and transmits a control signal for changing the luminous pattern of the display part to many roadside signal lights arranged on the roadside. The roadside signal light to be operated is selected based on the frequency of a radio wave, transmission output and/or the directivity of an antenna. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
