PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a folding device having a compact back gage means capable of performing an abutting gap adjustment work from a front side of a machine. SOLUTION: In the folding device in which a stretch member 27 to be movably positioned in Y-axis and Z-axis directions is provided parallel to the folding axis of the folding device extending in X-axis direction, and a plurality of slide bases 19 having a projection 17 abutted on one end side of a work are provided in a movable/fixed manner along the stretch member, an operation bar working means having an operation bar 79 projecting forward of the folding device over the bending center is provided on the slide bases.
