PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide sludge treatment equipment and a sludge treatment method the operating condition of which can be easily set. SOLUTION: At a step S5, a motor 120 with a reducer is driven at a predetermined rotating speed of R(N) read out at a step S3, and an operator proceeds to a step S7. At the step S7, the operator waits until a current value Ip of the electricity flow in the motor 120 with the reducer becomes equal to or larger than a predetermined current value I(N) read out at the step S3. While waiting at the step S7, the operator feeds slurry of construction sludge and each adding material one by one into a paddle mixer 100. As the mixing proceeds, the mixing load increases due to change in the property of a material to be treated, and the current value Ip of the electricity flow in the motor 120 with the reducer increases. Thereupon, the operator proceeds to a step S9 if the step S7 is affirmatively determined, and lights an indicating lamp 330.
