PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a neutralization apparatus which can easily control the residual amount of a neutralizer by immediately recognizing a complete consumption state where the neutralizer is consumed completely. SOLUTION: One of a pair of pH sensors S1, S2 is disposed so as to detect the pH value of untreated liquid D1, and the other of the pair of the pH sensors S1, S2 is disposed so as to detect the pH value at the bottom of a housing part 85 filled with the neutralizer N1. Thereby, when both pH values detected respectively by the pair of the pH sensors S1, S2 are different, it is recognized that the pH value detected by the other of the pair of the pH sensors S1, S2 is the pH value of treated liquid D2. On the contrary, when both pH values detected respectively by the pair of the pH sensors S1, S2 are equal to each other, it is recognized that the pH value detected by the other of the pair of the pH sensors S1, S2 is the pH value of the untreated liquid D1. This value can be judged to represent the complete consumption state where the neutralizer N1 does not exist in the bottom of the housing part and is consumed completely. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
