PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and safely install a communication apparatus used as an outdoor radio base station of a portable telephone system at an altitude in an economical configuration. SOLUTION: The communication apparatus is bisected into an AMP part (transmitting/receiving amplifier part) and an MDE part (modulation/demodulation part), and these parts are housed in an AMP part casing 21 and an MDE part casing 10, respectively. The MDE part casing 10 is fixed on an antenna pole 4 by using a poling metal fitting set 6 or the like. When integrating the AMP part casing 21 and the MDE part casing 10, an upper fastening metal 22 fixed on the back of the AMP part casing 21 is first inserted into an opening 23 on the front of the MDE part casing 10. Thus, a projection 24 on the bottom face of the opening 23 is engaged with a guide hole 26 of the upper fastening metal 22 to prevent the AMP part casing 21 from falling. The upper fastening metal 22 is thereafter fixed on the bottom face of the opening 23 by using a bolt 29, and a lower fastening metal 19 fixed on the MDE part casing 10 is fixed on a mounting surface 32 at the lower side of the back of the AMP part casing 21 by using a bolt 31.
