The method involves determining a middle sound pressure level of the characteristic sound pressure curve (SPLN) and the measured sound pressure level, from the deviation of middle sound pressure level (SPLM). The characteristic sound pressure curve is measured in the form of deflections of a diaphragm of the sound generator (12) as a function of the frequency. An independent claim is included for a device for improving the sound pressure.
