A method and a system for supporting a paging tunneling between a 1X system and a 1xEV(Evolution)-DO(Data Optimized) system are provided to interwork an HLR of a 1X system with a DLR(Data Location Register) and/or a home DLR of a 1xEV-DO system, to transfer a connection terminal to the 1X system or the 1xEV-DO system where a paging event is generated, only when the paging event is generated in a system which is not connected with the terminal, thereby saving a battery of the terminal while improving deterioration of a communication quality. An AT(Access Terminal)(110) receives a voice service and/or a packet data service. A BSC(130) receives a 1xEV-DO paging request signal or a 1X paging request signal, and reports 1xEV-DO paging and/or 1X paging generation facts to the AT(110). A DLR(170) manages position information and a paging zone of the AT(110), and perceives a communication state of the AT(110). A home DLR(180) is interworked with more than one DLR(170) to transceive a call request signal. An HLR(150) decides whether the AT(110) is registered in a 1xEV-DO data service when a 1X paging occurs. A VLR(142) transmits the 1X paging request signal or the 1xEV-DO paging request signal to the BSC(130). |
