The inventive method consists in applying a solution of low-substituted cellulose derivatives whose substitution degree ranges approximately from 0.1 to 0.9 on textiles and a) in removing a solvent which, if needed, dissolves the textiles, thereby forming a coating, or b) in sending the thus coated textiles to a coagulation bath and in removing a remaining liquid or a washing liquid of the optional washing.
