The invention relates to a cooled mandrel for winding a strip product. The inventive mandrel comprises an assembly of adjacent segments (2) which are mounted to slide radially on a central shaft (1) and which are each equipped with a cooling circuit (24, 24'). The aforementioned cooling circuit comprises two holes, namely an inlet (75) and an outlet (75'), which are each connected by means of a variable-length connector (7, 7') to a heat transfer fluid-feed (5) or -discharge (5') conduit respectively. According to the invention, the connectors (7, 7') corresponding to each segment (2) are connected to a dispensing part (6) which is disposed on a lateral surface (13') of the shaft (1). Moreover, the above-mentioned supply (5) and discharge (5') conduits, which are disposed inside the central shaft (1), open transversely onto said lateral surface (13') of the shaft.
