PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem wherein a part of a character forms a shade, and power generation efficiency is remarkably dropped when the character or the like is directly drawn on a solar battery or a transparent glass face where the character or the like is drawn is stuck to the solar battery in a doorplate or a signboard having an illumination device such as a light emitter lighted by photovoltaic power generation. SOLUTION: Characters 2 or the like are drawn on a surface of a solar battery cover 1 formed of transparent glass or a resin board by generally known ground glass work such as a sandblasting method or an etching method. A solar battery 4 is arranged by leaving an appropriate interval. A light emitter 5 is fitted to a side of the solar battery cover 1 and is disposed in a case 3 with a storage battery 8.
