PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet post-treatment device with a simple constitution forming a bundle of sheets by conveying and aligning the sheet successively discharged to a tray for applying the post-treatment and applying stapling to the bundle of sheet wherein stable sheet conveying on the tray is achieved with less alignment deviation. SOLUTION: There are provided a sheet conveying means for conveying the sheet loaded on the post-treatment tray to the same direction as a sheet discharge direction and to a reverse direction, and a crossing direction movement means for conveying the sheet to the sheet discharge direction and a perpendicular direction by moving the sheet conveying means to a direction perpendicular to the sheet discharge direction. The sheet is conveyed in the state that the roller of the sheet conveying means is contacted with the sheet and is abutted on a wall to carry out alignment. After the sheets are conveyed slightly more than an actual movement amount in a specified size of the sheet and abutted on the wall, the roller is slid on the sheet. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
