PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pair of functional sheer pants suitable for outerwear for doing exercise. SOLUTION: A method for producing the pair of sheer pants comprises using two circular knitted fabrics 11 obtained by continuously knitting a richly functional inner main body 12 and an outer main body 22 with sheer feeling through a rib stitch part 32, cutting open to continuously form a pair of crotch-side open rims 16 and 16 or 24 and 24 and a pair of trunk-side open rims 17 and 17 or 25 and 25 on corresponding parts of the crotch and the trunk of the human body in each of the inner main body 12 and the outer main body 22 so as to use one of the two circular knitting fabrics for a left half the body and the other for a right half the body, facing a pair of the crotch-side opening rims 16 and 16 and a pair of the trunk-side opening rims 17 and 17 on one side toward a pair of the crotch-side opening rims 24 and 24 and a pair of the trunk-side opening rims 25 and 25 on the other side in each of the circular knitted fabrics 11 and 11, and sewing each of the corresponding parts with each other to form inner pants 42 and outer pants 46 having trunk parts 43 and 47, crotch parts 44 and 48 and leg parts 45 and 49, respectively.
