A gear shift control apparatus is provided to achieve improved gear shift feeling by arranging a control shaft in a horizontal direction and permitting a select control assembly and a shift control assembly to operate independently from each other. A gear shift control apparatus(100) comprises a gear shift lever(103), a plurality of shift lugs, a housing, a control shaft, a select control assembly, and a shift control assembly. The gear shift lever is movable in a first direction and a second direction. The shift lugs are disposed in a transmission(101) such that the transmission is changed into a specific stage in correspondence to the lengthwise movement of the shift lug. The control shaft is arranged in a horizontal direction in the housing, and has at least one control finger arranged beneath the control shaft. The control shaft is movable in a lengthwise direction such that the control finger is disposed at the point for moving each of the shift lugs. The control finger is rotatable to move the shift lugs. The select control assembly connects the gear shift lever and a control shaft assembly such that the control shaft assembly moves lengthwise in correspondence to the movement of the gear shift lever in the first direction. The shift control assembly connects the gear shift lever and the control shaft assembly such that the control shaft assembly rotates in correspondence to the movement of the gear shift lever in the second direction. |
