An air bag module mounting structure of a steering wheel is provided to prevent an exterior view from being deteriorated and to secure stability, by securing stable horn switch operability of an air bag module and by securing proper balance of a gap between the air bag module and the steering wheel. An air bag module mounting structure of a steering wheel(5) comprises a guide bolt(7) one end of which is screwed to the steering wheel to guide a horn movement contact point(3) moving integrally with an air bag module; a taper end part(15) formed to the guide bolt in a state of making a diameter of the guide bolt decreased in the steering wheel direction; an insulator(9) inserted in the outer peripheral surface of the guide bolt, to electrically insulate the horn movement contact point and the guide bolt; an expanding unit integrally arranged to the insulator to provide circumferential elasticity to the insulator, to make the insulator elastically adhered closely to the outer peripheral surface of the guide bolt; and an extension restriction unit restricting a circumferential extension range of the insulator. |
