<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide carbonized bamboo charcoal with which flavorful bamboo salt having no residual arsenic oxide which is hazardous substance can be efficiently produced. <P>SOLUTION: The carbonized bamboo charcoal is obtained by the following process: using bamboo such as fresh bamboo which is undried one; cutting the bamboo into an optional length so that one end of the joint of the bamboo is left and the other end of the joint thereof is open; putting salt into a bamboo cylinder; wrapping the whole of the bamboo cylinder with aluminum foil to close the open end; putting the bamboo cylinder into a hermetically sealed dry distillation pot followed by burning the pot at carbonization temperature of 650-750°C for 10-16 h to carbonize the bamboo cylinder; subjecting the dry distillation pot to depressurization after finishing carbonization; naturally cooling the pot for 4-5 h; taking the carbonized bamboo cylinder out of the pot; and crushing aggregated salt sintered in the bamboo cylinder to obtain bamboo salt. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
