PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical image system which forms a high quality medial image on a recording medium of density corresponding to the characteristic of the medial image. SOLUTION: In this medical image system 100, image recorders 2a to 2b are configured to determine the density of a recording medium for recording a medical image on the basis of reading pitch at the time of reading the medical image and/or part information, select a tray on which a recording medium of density corresponding to the type of the medical image is placed and transport the recording medium from the tray. In addition, Writing pitch of an image recording medium 29 is switched to writing pitch corresponding to the reading pitch of the medical image, and the medical image is recorded on a recording medium with suitable density.
