PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily perform replacing work of a magnetic head, and to fix the head in a short guide interval. SOLUTION: A servo signal writing head is provided with a head member with a magnetic head for recording a servo signal on the servo band of a magnetic tape in sliding contact with the magnetic tape, and a head base member to be fixed to a servo writer main body.
