DISASTER CONTROL DEVICE FOR ELEVATOR

A disaster control device for an elevator, comprising a jamb (3), a threshold (9), and door panels (12). The jamb (3) is installed at a landing part between the elevator hall and the hoistway of a building. The threshold (9) is installed at the lower part of the jamb (3). The door panels (12) are of a double type, and disposed on the threshold (9) oppositely to the jamb (3). Sealing members (17, 24, 37) are formed of an elastic member such as a rubber, and seal clearances between the door panels (12) and the side frame parts (4) of the jamb (3), clearances between the door panels (12) and the end rail part (5) of the jamb (3), and clearances between the door panels (12) and the threshold (9). Thus, sealability between the elevator hall and the hoistway can be increased.
