The present invention discloses a method of realizing switching synchronously of cross connection of the CLOS matrix. The method sets a configuring controller in the data cross connection apparatus, the process of synchronous switching including: configuring controller computes a new CLOS matrix according to the crossing request and assigns the new CLOS matrix to the cross nodes which need switching synchronously, after receiving "the signal of ready" which is returned by the cross nodes that need switching synchronously, the configuring controller sends "signal of switching synchronously" to all the cross nodes that need switching synchronously, the cross nodes perform switching immediately after receiving the signal. The present invention also discloses a data cross connection apparatus that realizes the above method and including configuring controller.
