PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new polycarbonate resin superior in abrasion resistance when used for an electrophtographic receptor, and in particular, it has superior abrasion resistance even in a system containing a low molecular weight charge transport material. SOLUTION: The polycarbonate resin is characterised in that it contains constitutional units expressed by general formula (1) and/or general formula (2). In the formulae, R<SB>1</SB>expresses a 1-6C sustituted or unsubstituted alkyl group, a halogen atom, a 1-6C substituted or unsubstituted alkoxy group, or a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group.
