PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an output connection switch, an output connection switch remote controller, and an output connection switching method which easily selects/switches an output unit without requiring other complicated manual operations, etc. than the so-called remote control operation. SOLUTION: The output connection switch 1 detects the existence of any connected output unit 3 about a plurality of output terminals 100A, B, Z connected to the output units 3, receives a control signal sent from an output connection switching remote controller 2, and applies a switching operation for checking the existence of a signal output to each output terminal, on the basis of the control signal, thereby switching over the connection relation of the output signals so as to send out audio or video signals to the output unit 3 a user desires.
