<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and correctly predict the service life of an electricity storable power source when detaching and reusing the electricity storable power source attached to an image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: A main body control part 15 of the image forming apparatus 10 acquires stored data from a non-volatile memory part 17a of the electricity storable power source 17. Use history data and a service life prediction data are included in the acquired data. By comparing the service life prediction data, to which a model case up to the end of service life is set, with the use history data regarding the environment of use and the use condition as parameters, the remaining service life can be accurately predicted, according to the state of use of the power source 17. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
