PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the adhesion of ink mist to a linear scale by regulating a stream of the ink mist running into the backside of a carriage, and to enhance the rigidity of the carriage. SOLUTION: In this carriage 10 which is equipped with an airflow regulating means so as to solve the above problem, both corner parts on the backside of the carriage 10 are provided with the airflow regulating means 33 comprising an airflow guiding action surface 31 for guiding an airflow in the lateral direction of the carriage 10 to the backside of the carriage 10 and a regulating rib 32 for regulating an upward stream of the airflow guided to the backside of the carriage 10 or running into the backside of the carriage 10 from another direction, and directing the stream of the airflow in a main scanning direction.
