PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a bamboo particulate material made simpler and more efficient than a conventional manufacturing method and enhanced in productivity. SOLUTION: A bamboo thin sheet 1 is formed and shearing force is applied to the thin sheet 1 by moving one of or both of a pair of blade bodies 40 and 41 of which the edge directions are mutually inclined at a required angle at least cutting and the parts to be removed on the thin sheet are successively formed into particles or pieces by the moving force of the blade bodies for cutting while cutting the thin sheet in the direction crossing the fibers of a bamboo.
