PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an efficient hole cutter by which the occurrence of damages at a blade part caused by drilling work for a short period of time can be prevented and which can also conduct the working for a short period of time when drilling a deep hole, and to provide a drilling device which can quickly conduct the drilling work without drawing a marking line at the time of the drilling work for two or more boxes. SOLUTION: The drilling device 10 for a cable wiring box is composed of a housing 1 for preventing the scattering of chips, a body 2 supported by hand, a shaft 3 driven by a driving device, a cylindrical hole cutter 4, and a cutting amount adjusting mechanism 5 for adjusting a cutting amount of the hole cutter 4 corresponding to the thickness of a wall plate. The drilling device 10 for a cable wiring box has the following characteristics. A guide arm 7, which is pivotally supported so as to be freely rotatable, is provided in the outer periphery of the housing 1.
