PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable ultrasonic cleaning of more numerous cleaning objects and to decrease dust and sundry germs brought into a cleaning solution in the case when a charge-in type ultrasonic vibrator is used for performing ultrasonic cleaning in a cleaning vessel, by minimizing the volume occupied by a vibrator body enclosing the ultrasonic vibrator in the cleaning vessel. SOLUTION: Only the side of the ultrasonic vibrator enclosed in a vibrator body 5 is held by a holding means 9 and brought into contact with the surface of the cleaning solution 2 contained in the cleaning vessel 1. Ultrasonic vibration is transmitted from the direction of the liquid level into the cleaning solution 2 to perform ultrasonic cleaning of the cleaning objects 3 or the inner surface of the cleaning vessel 1 in contact with the cleaning solution 2.
