METHOD FOR DETECTING MEMBRANE DAMAGE OF MEMBRANE FILTRATION APPARATUS AND DEVICE THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a practical membrane processing detection method which is capable of suppressing an erroneous abnormal detection of membrane and does not require a complicated instrument etc. SOLUTION: In the method for detecting membrane damage, the membrane damage of the filtration membrane in a water treatment apparatus is detected by measuring the number of fine particles of a specified particle size and the turbidity of membrane permeate and comparing the measured number of fine particles and turbidity with a predetermined value. Therein, the predetermined value is made to be a membrane damage abnormality judging threshold which varies in accordance with raw water quality composed of the number of fine particles or the turbidity of the membrane permeate. As the membrane damage abnormality judging threshold varies in accordance with the raw water quality, the abnormal detection of the membrane can be suppressed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
