PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seating detection device capable of determining the seating of an occupant on a seat and the installation of a child restraint system more accurately. SOLUTION: The seating detection device 1 is provided with a plurality of cells 13 disposed on the seating surface of a seat in a matrix to detect partial pressure. A CPU 21 determines the seating of an adult on a seat based on level comparison between the total load value (determination value) obtained by summing the partial pressure and a determination value threshold. It counts the number of cells with reference to the partial pressure detected in any cells when the partial pressure detected in both cells adjacent in the horizontal and the vertical direction thereof is changed from increase to decrease or from decrease to increase. It corrects the determination value to suppress the seating determination of an adult on a seat based on level comparison between the number of cells and the threshold.
