PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a matrix type display device improving visual angle dependency in an arbitrary direction of a display panel. SOLUTION: A visual angle adaptationγcorrection circuit 3 has a plurality ofγcharacteristics associated with a user's visual angle, and a visual angle adaptation control circuit 2 performsγconversion processing to a video signal IS by changing characteristics of the visual angle adaptationγcorrection circuit 3 according to visual angle information for specifying the user's visual angle to a liquid crystal panel 6, and according to the display position of the liquid crystal panel 6 of the video signal IS.
