PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a film mask for more smoothly carrying out inserting a photographic film between a mask cover and a mask body, or fixing the photographic film with the mask cover by positioning the photographic film to an opening part of the mask body, in the film mask swingably supporting the mask cover around an axial center of the mask body having the mask body supporting the photographic film on the optical axis of transmitted light and the mask cover fixing the photographic film on the mask body in order to acquire image information carried by the photographic film with the transmitted light. SOLUTION: The mask cover 40 is retainably provided at a half-open position for adjusting a position of the photographic film F to an opening part of the mask body 30. A half-open holding mechanism for holding the mask cover at the half-open position comprises a magnetic attraction mechanism 51 provided between the mask body and the mask cover.
