摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photothermographic imaging material which has high sensitivity and low fog, suppresses fogging even when allowed to stand in a situation at a relatively high temperature, and is excellent in preservability of an image after imaging. SOLUTION: In the photothermographic imaging material with a photosensitive layer containing photosensitive silver halide grains, an organic silver salt, a reducing agent and a binder, formed on a support, a compound is contained which accumulates heat energy by a change of its molecular structure after absorption of electromagnetic waves of <400 nm wavelength, releases the heat energy upon heating or irradiation with electromagnetic waves of >400 nm wavelength, and returns to the original molecular structure before absorption of electromagnetic waves of <400 nm wavelength.
