<p>A reflection plate and lamps of a liquid crystal display device are supported appropriately and the liquid crystal display device as a whole is lightened in weight and provided with high rigidity. A direct backlight-type liquid crystal display device comprises a liquid crystal panel, lamps (3) disposed in the rear of the liquid crystal panel, a reflection plate (2) disposed in the rear of the lamps (3), and a die-cast frame (1) on which the reflection plate (2) is installed. The die-cast frame (1) is an integrated structure body made of lightweight metal and has an outer frame piece (1c) having a projecting piece (1a) projecting toward the side of a liquid crystal panel (8) and at least one linkage piece (1b) provided in a vertical direction for linking the outer frame pieces (1c). A chassis structure is formed by the reflection plate (2) installed and fixed to the outer frame piece (1c) of four sides and the linkage piece (1b) and by the die-cast frame (1). Panel frame mounting portions (12) are provided, and they are for mounting a panel frame (7) on the chassis structure. <IMAGE></p> |
