A device and a method for assembling an O-ring of an input shaft are provided to automatically insert the O-ring in the input shaft by utilizing a feed robot system. A device for assembling an O-ring of an input shaft(1) comprises an input shaft supply unit(100) receiving the input shaft on a jig from a feed robot(11) and reciprocating between a first station as an input shaft supply position and an O-ring insertion position, and a second station as an O-ring supply position; a cone operation unit(200) for mounting or separating a cone on/from the input shaft fed to the second station; an O-ring supply unit(300) for mounting the O-ring on the cone; and an O-ring insertion unit(400) for pushing and inserting the O-ring mounted on the cone to an O-ring groove of the input shaft.
