ADJUVANTS FOR NEGATIVELY CHARGED TONERS

Provided is a liquid toner composition for negative electro-photograph containing amphipathic graft copolymer and acidic or basic adjuvant for regulating charge of the composition to have excellent bulk conductivity and charge property per mass. The liquid toner composition negatively charged comprises (a) liquid carrier having Kauri-butanol value less than 30mL; (b) toner particles negatively charged comprising a polymer binder including at least one amphipathic graft copolymer containing at least one S material and at least D material and dispersed among the liquid carrier(a); and (c) acidic or basic charge control adjuvant. The adjuvant is any one selected from various amines such as primary amine, secondary amine and tertiary amine; alkyl amine; and amino-functional polymer. The alkyl amine has 12 to 18 carbon atoms. The adjuvant further includes any one selected from acids comprising sulfonic acid and carboxylic acid. The adjuvant can form micelles having a particle size ranging from 5 to 50nm and a solubility ranging from 0.1 to 10mg/g.
