Station terminal applicable in transmission means, characterised in being constructed from a unit of measurements 1, remote selector units 8, the remote selector units 7 [being connected] to the unit of measurements 1 via a series RS-485, bus-S 16, whereas the remote monitors 8 are connected to the unit of measurements 1 via a series bus RS-485, bus-M 17, the digital frames being analysed, extracted from the routes 12 having access to the transmission equipment via the adapters 10, it being possible to connect the signals extracted from the adapters 10 to the inputs of the local or remote selectors 7 via coaxial junctions 13 and to the inputs of the local or remote monitors 8 via coaxial junctions 14. More specifically, this terminal is configured as equipment whose main mission is to perform measurements on the frames of the pathways coming into a digital transmission telephone exchange without interfering with the traffic in progress and communicate the results to a sector control c entre, these measurements being for quality of error rates and verification of alarm status. The measurement unit 1 is comprised of an analyser/demultiplexer module 2 which provides for the selection of the digital frames being analysed (which analysis consists in making measurements of quality, measurements of error rate, and verification of alarm conditions), carries out the selection of same by acting on the local selector module 3 and on the remote selector modules 7 by means of command messages via the bus-S 17. This invention has its application within the field of telecommunications and more specifically its task is to improve the maintenance and operation of transmission stations.
