PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a holder which makes it easier to mount a display medium, such as a flag, to a rod, such as a main rod or a sub rod. SOLUTION: The holder is equipped with a stopper section 12 which is disposed at the tip of an engaging projection 11 and is greater in width than the inner diameter of an engaging hole 14, a thick-walled section 13 which is disposed on the other end side of a main part 10 and has the engaging hole 14, and a recessed part 16 which is formed at the thick-walled section 13 and is disposed in an aperture on the side opposite to the insertion direction of the engaging projection 11 into the engaging hole 14. When the engaging projection 11 is inserted into the engaging hole 14, the stopper section 12 of the engaging projection 11 is caught by the edge of the aperture of the engaging hole 14 and the stopper section 12 is confined within the recessed part 16.
