摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for an internal combustion engine capable of completing air-fuel ratio learning early. SOLUTION: The control device is provided with a fuel cut-off part 18a for stopping fuel supply to an engine 1 when predetermined fuel cut-off conditions are satisfied; an air-fuel ratio control part 18b for controlling an air-fuel ratio to the rich side according to the stored oxygen quantity of an exhaust purifying catalyst 19 at the return from fuel cut-off operation; a throttle valve 9 for regulating the quantity of air taken into the engine 1; and an ignition control part 18c for controlling ignition in the engine 1. In the control device, when the fuel cut-off conditions are satisfied before air-fuel ratio learning is completed, ignition is stopped without stopping fuel supply, and the quantity of air taken into the engine 1 is reduced.
