PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide toilet system capable of detecting the locomotive movement of a user such as approaching and leaving and well detecting that a male user comes to a standstill for urination just in front of a toilet bowl. SOLUTION: The toilet system detects the user by using a Doppler sensor 28. The sensitivity of the detection by the Doppler sensor 28 is switched high when a toilet seat of the toilet bowl is opened. The sensitivity is switched by switching from amplifiers 46, 48 and 54 to an amplifier 58 whose gain is higher. An amplifier with different frequency characteristics is used as the amplifier 58 so that Doppler sensor signals with a lower frequency relative to the amplifiers 46, 48 and 54 can be extracted sensitively.
