PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reproduce stereo voices correctly by switching stereo voice channels according to opening/closing operations of a cover case. SOLUTION: A mobile telephone 10 comprises an open/closed state detection unit 38, which detects an open/closed state of the cover case and a body case, and transmits a open/closed state signal to a control unit 40. The control unit 40 controls a connection in a switch circuit 48 according to the open/closed state signal and switches between a right channel and a left channel for stereo signals output from speakers 18 and 20. When the cases are closed, L0 and L1, R0 and R1 are connected, respectively, and the left channel and the right channel are assigned to the speaker 18 and the speaker 20, respectively. When the cases are open, L0 and L2, R0 and R2 are connected, respectively, and the right channel and the left channel are assigned to the speaker 18 and the speaker 20, respectively.
