<p>The invention relates to a method for the monitoring of a path to be covered by a mobile terminal, which receives electromagnetic waves that are transmitted by transmitting stations, whereby the path is monitored by an operating platform. The invention is characterised in that the method comprises a learning phase (A) consisting in: a) covering the path, during which successive groups of samples are periodically recorded, exclusively on the path, in a route memory element, each sample comprising at least one value for each of the frequencies received with each of the records and a receive level which is associated with said frequency; and c) comparing the levels received between a group of pn samples recorded during a sampling of rank n and one of the preceding recorded groups having a lower rank, whereby a comparison criterion can be used to distinguish between the remarkable and ordinary groups of samples. The invention is further characterised in that it comprises an operating phase (B) during which the terminal covers the path, said step consisting in: a) periodically recording groups of Pj samples, each sample comprising a value for each of the frequencies received with each of the records and a receive level which is associated with said frequency; b) comparing each group of samples with one of the remarkable sample groups, said comparison producing a comparison result; c) obtaining an indication of the presence or absence of a terminal on the path to be covered, by comparing the comparison result with a comparison criterion; and d) using one or more presence indications in order to determine whether or not the mobile terminal is on the path.</p> |
