A coupling for connecting pipes is provided to connect pipes easily, and to seal a joint portion of the pipes completely by assembling a female screw of an inverse L-shaped race with a horizontal male screw of a pipe assembling unit. An inverse L-shaped race(10a) is formed by expanding an end of a socket(10), and a horizontal female screw(12) is formed in an inner periphery of the inverse L-shaped race. A circular packing(1) is inserted to an end of a pipe(20) to be connected, and a vertical protruded frame(21) is inserted to the inverse L-shaped race. A pipe assembling unit(30) is inserted to the inner periphery of the inverse L-shape race. A horizontal male screw(31) is formed in outer periphery of the pipe assembling unit, and contacted to the vertical protruded frame. An outer periphery(20a) of the pipe is inserted to the inner periphery of the socket, and the horizontal male screw is combined with the horizontal female screw. The pipes are connected by contacting the vertical protruded frame to the circular packing.
