PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray CT apparatus having a filter section which can dynamically change the X-ray dosage for irradiating a subject including the slice direction. SOLUTION: A block section 130 of the filter section 21 is constituted of a plurality of rectangular parallelepiped blocks which are divided in two in the channel direction, and are stacked in the slice direction and the irradiation direction in which the X rays are incident. Then, by moving the blocks in the channel direction by a moving means 121, the transmissible X-ray dosages of the block section 130 especially in the slice direction are made different. Therefore, when the imaging range of a subject 1 contains a plurality of regions in which the absorbed X-ray dosages are different, the X-ray irradiation dosage for each region is minimized, and the overall irradiation dosage of the subject 1 can be reduced without accompanying a big deterioration in picture quality.
