An apparatus and a method for testing a reverse power control function of a base station in a CDMA mobile communication system are provided to synchronize a time, when a power level of a signal outputted from a mobile station is controlled, with a signal of a base station, thereby confirming whether power control information on the base station is outputted at a requested time. A signal of a base station(110) received through a base station receiving port is inputted to a duplexer(131). The duplexer(131) outputs the signal through a mobile station port, and outputs a signal outputted from a mobile station(120) to an attenuator. The attenuator outputs the signal transmitted from the mobile station(120) through the duplexer(131) at a time when the signal is synchronized with a synchronous signal obtained through a certain port.
