<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a writing utensil, equipped with a rubber, which allows smooth attachment of a cap not depending on the state of the rubber and does not cause the loosening of the cap when fitted. <P>SOLUTION: In this writing utensil comprising a barrel with a rubber attached to the outer periphery and a cap, the barrel is equipped with a retaining protuberance, formed of a harder resin material than the rubber, which juts outwardly, on the rear end side of the barrel, from the overlapping part of the barrel and the cap when the cap is attached; and a barrel engagement part, formed of a harder resin material than the rubber, which juts outwardly, on the barrel tip side, from the overlapping part. The cap is equipped with a cap engagement part which projects inwardly on the tip side inner peripheral surface of the cap at the overlapping part. In addition, the barrel engagement part fixes the cap through engaging with the cap engagement part and the retaining protuberance comes into contact with the inner peripheral surface of the cap. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
