MILK BEVERAGE AND OSTEOARTHRITIS AMELIORATING AGENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide milk beverage having high preservation stability and excellent flavor and continuously ingestible even by elderly patients without difficulty and to provide an osteoarthritis ameliorating agent.

SOLUTION: The milk beverage is formulated with 0.025-37.5 mass % of a glycocomposition containing 80-90 mass % of N-acetylglucosamine and 10-20 mass % of chitinoligosaccharide. The milk beverage is continuously ingestible even by elderly patients without difficulty. Since it is possible to intake mineral such as calcium and magnesium and good quality protein each forming muscles and bones and useful for preventing arthrosis together with N-acetylglucosamine, excellent osteoarthritis ameliorating effect can be expected owing to the multiplier effect of the components. Since N-acetylglucosamine has higher stability to pH and heat compared to glucosamine salt and is free from browning and decomposition by pH or heat, the milk beverage has excellent preservation stability and flavor.
