<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pedal device of simple structure for a vehicle capable of preventing an injury to a driver's ankle due to the projection of a pedal assembly even if a dash panel is deformed by a frontal collision. <P>SOLUTION: The pedal device for a vehicle comprises a bracket fixed to the dash panel of the vehicle, a pedal arm connected to the bracket so as to be turnable, and a lever connected to the pedal arm to give a predetermined turning force to the pedal arm.
