POS TERMINAL EQUIPMENT, POS SYSTEM, AND PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a maintenance system for easily performing the introduction and maintenance operation of the user side, and for reducing operation costs, in a POS system configured to make a user construct POS terminal equipment by combining it with the user's desired peripheral equipment. SOLUTION: This POS terminal equipment is provided with a connecting means for connecting the peripheral equipment; a storage means for storing a control program for controlling the operation of the peripheral equipment; a control means for controlling the operation of the peripheral equipment according to the control program; a setting file for defining the combination of the mutual models of different kinds of peripheral equipment; an input means for inputting the model of the peripheral equipment by the unit kind of the peripheral equipment; a deciding means for deciding whether the combination of the mutual models of the peripheral equipment inputted by the input means is proper by referring to the setting file; and a storage means for acquiring the control program, corresponding to the model of the peripheral equipment inputted by the input means from a management server and for storing it in the storage means, when it is decided that the combination of the mutual models of the peripheral equipment is proper.
